Form Basics

Forms are how websites collect information from visitors, like a login page or a contact form. Everything related to a form sits inside the form tag.

Two attributes are worth knowing early on. action tells the form where to send the data once submitted. method tells it how to send that data, usually either GET or POST.

Explanation: In real projects, the action usually points to a server address that processes the form, often handled with a backend language. For now, just know that the form is the container that everything else lives inside.
