Core Python Concepts
This project is built entirely in Python, and a few core programming concepts hold it all together.
A. Functions and modular programming simply mean breaking the program into small, separate blocks of code, where each block does one specific job. For example, instead of writing everything in one giant chunk, we created separate functions like add_student(), view_students(), and mark_attendance(). This makes the code easier to read, test, and fix if something goes wrong.
B. The menu driven loop is what keeps the program running continuously until the user decides to exit. We used a while True loop that keeps showing the menu again and again, so the user can perform multiple actions, like adding one student and then checking attendance, without restarting the program each time. The loop only breaks when the user selects option 10 to exit.
C. Conditional statements, written using if, elif, and else, are what decide which function should run based on the user's choice. When the user types a number like 1 or 6, the program checks it against each condition and calls the matching function. This is basically how the entire menu system works behind the scenes.
D. Exception handling, done using try and except, protects the program from crashing when something unexpected happens, like the user typing letters instead of numbers for roll number or age. Instead of the program breaking, it catches the error and shows a simple message asking the user to try again.
