Teaching today isn\u2019t limited to textbooks or lectures. It also involves keeping up with the tools and techniques that help students build real skills. To support this shift, HCL GUVI, through its College to Corporate (C2C) initiative<\/strong>, organized a virtual Faculty Development Program (FDP)<\/strong> for the faculty members of SDNB Vaishnav College for Women<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program, which was held over five days, from May 19 to 23, 2025,<\/strong> gave educators a chance to step into the learner\u2019s seat and revisit the kind of knowledge that is now becoming essential in classrooms. It was an opportunity to not only listen and learn but also explore how technical skills can be blended into everyday teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlights of the Five-Day FDP Session<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The FDP at SDNB Vaishnav College<\/strong> brought together structured learning and practical exposure through two focused tracks – Cloud Architecture and Python Programming. Although the sessions were conducted virtually, they remained highly interactive, with live demonstrations, Q&A rounds, and real-time code walkthroughs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Seshagiri<\/strong>, a<\/strong> cloud solutions expert<\/strong> with years of experience in enterprise architecture and deployment strategy, led the sessions on Cloud Architecture. He walked the participants through service models, deployment techniques, and real-life use cases <\/strong>drawn from various industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the Python Programming sessions were guided by Mr. Jervin<\/strong>, a skilled developer and trainer<\/strong> known for simplifying core concepts through hands-on methods. He helped participants build confidence in writing clean code, solving logic-based problems, and applying programming in academic contexts<\/strong>. Both mentors ensured that the sessions stayed grounded in application, making the content suitable and easy to adopt in regular teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C2C Team: The Driving Force Behind the Success<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A well-run FDP depends as much on planning as it does on delivery. HCL GUVI\u2019s College to Corporate (C2C)<\/strong> team played a key role in putting this program together for SDNB Vaishnav College, right from scheduling and communication to ensuring that the sessions stayed relevant to what faculty members actually needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The effort was further strengthened by HCL GUVI\u2019s leadership team, including Arun Prakash M<\/a>, Balamurugan SP<\/a>, Anitha Natarajan<\/a>, Muruganandam Punniyamoorthy<\/a>, and Vasanth Vijayabaskar<\/a>, whose focus on quality and practical learning continues to shape HCL GUVI\u2019s academic collaborations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program wrapped up with a virtual valedictory session, where faculty members shared their appreciation for the clarity and relevance of the sessions. Many found the hands-on format helpful, especially the way it tied concepts to practical examples they could use in their teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants also welcomed the opportunity to revisit technical skills they hadn\u2019t engaged with in a while. The FDP not only added value to their subject knowledge but also opened up new ways to bring current tools and thinking into the classroom. Certificates were issued<\/strong> to all attendees as a recognition of their active participation throughout the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
