At the heart of every successful career lies a strong foundation of practical skills and real-world exposure. HCL GUVI\u2019s ‘College to Corporate’ initiative is designed to bridge the critical gap between theoretical education and the hands-on experience required in today\u2019s fast-paced corporate world. With a focus on providing students with the tools to succeed in real-world environments, HCL GUVI recently conducted an impactful series of physical training sessions at Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women, a renowned institution committed to empowering women in tech.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Classroom to Boardroom<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From September 25th to 28th, 2024, the halls of Vivekanandha College buzzed with excitement as over 50 eager students participated in a hands-on, immersive learning experience. The four-day session covered crucial topics such as front-end and back-end connectivity, AWS deployment, and full-stack application development using modern technologies like React, Node.js, and MongoDB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students who had primarily been exposed to theoretical knowledge in the classroom were now applying those concepts to create demo applications and solve real-world challenges. The sessions included a recap of advanced JavaScript, and the participants were engaged in creating demo applications to solidify their understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus was not just on teaching technology but on helping students understand how these skills could be practically applied in a corporate setting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Empowering Future Women Engineers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women has long been a pillar of educational excellence, and this collaboration with HCL GUVI represents a shared vision of empowering the next generation of women engineers. In a world where women are still underrepresented in tech, initiatives like this play a crucial role in building confidence and providing the right mentorship to help women thrive in tech-based careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many students, this was their first time stepping beyond theoretical lessons into practical corporate training, and the impact was evident. One student shared, “I\u2019ve always been nervous about how I’d perform in the corporate world, but now, after this session, I feel much more prepared and confident in my skills.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Behind the Scenes: The C2C Team Who Made It Happen<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This initiative’s success resulted from the dedicated coordination by HCL GUVI\u2019s College to Corporate<\/em> (C2C) team. Led by Banuprakash M<\/a>, with Anandan Rajamanickam<\/a> & Lakshamana Narayan<\/a> assisting in organizing, the team worked tirelessly to ensure all client deliverables were met smoothly. While mentors Venkata Subramanian<\/a> and Rupan Chakravarthy<\/a> conducted the sessions on-site, the rest of the team, including Swathy Suriyababu<\/a>, Subiksha Pattnaik<\/a>, Arun Shukla<\/a>, Rajib Kumar Lakra<\/a>, and Athulya Pradeep<\/a>, coordinated from behind the scenes, ensuring seamless event execution. This dedicated team effort, from logistics to real-time support, helped create a meaningful and impactful student experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special thanks go to HCL GUVI\u2019s management team for their invaluable support. Arun Prakash<\/a>, CEO of HCL GUVI, and S.P. Balamurugan<\/a>, HCL GUVI\u2019s co-founder, provided strategic oversight that ensured the initiative aligned with HCL GUVI\u2019s mission of empowering students with real-world skills. Anitha Sathish<\/a>, COO at HCL GUVI, brought her vision for learner-centric excellence to the forefront, ensuring the initiative was designed to meet the highest standards of quality and impact. Their dedication to building a transformative learning environment was instrumental in shaping the success of this program. The support of leaders like Muruganandam P<\/a> and Vasanth Vijayabaskar<\/a> further ensured that the program had the resources and guidance needed for impactful execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outstanding Feedback from Faculty and Students<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The feedback from both faculty and students speaks volumes about the program’s success. Faculty members, who are well-versed in the latest educational trends, gave an impressive 4.6 out of 5 rating for the overall program, emphasizing its relevance and effectiveness in preparing students for corporate roles. Students, too, echoed this sentiment with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5, praising the practical approach and the interactive sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As one faculty member said, “HCL GUVI\u2019s sessions were a breath of fresh air\u2014our students are now more equipped with industry-relevant skills and are excited about their future careers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
